Visit home

2 weeks ago, I was able to take a spur-of-the-moment trip home to Florida for a few days.  It was so great to be home, and to visit w/ my fam and my bestie, ASH!
We cooked a lot, ate a lot, went to the beach, lounged in the pool, and just had a wonderful time.
(I unfortunately got food poisoning for part of the time, but I got some good TLC.)

Here are some pics from the trip :)

Today, I'm headed to the great city of Philadelphia!!
I've never been there, but I'm so excited to explore the beautiful downtown, see the Liberty Bell, wander around Rittenhouse Square, and run up the "Rocky" steps!!  :)

Yep, Hubby is there right now, and I can't wait to see him!!  We plan on doing the "City Pass" (have yall ever done those??), and seeing all of the highlights of the area.  We have also found lots of yummy restaurants to try, and of course there will be some shopping!!

Hope you all have a lovely week!!
(I will try to post from there, but it might be awhile!)

*If you have been to Philly, is there anywhere you would recommend going??  Museum, restaurant, shopping, etc....)  THANKS!*

Dear Dad,

Happy Father's Day, to the greatest Dad in the world.  No really, you are.  Thank you for teaching me how to love others, and how to love myself.  The times we have had together are some of my favorite memories, and ones that I will cherish forever.

I love you and am so incredibly blessed to be your daughter.  You will never know the impact you have had on my life.  Thank you for being my biggest fan...and for supporting me know matter what.

I love you so much, and can't wait to see you soon!
Happy Father's Day!  May be there a hundred more :)

Love always,
your little girl

A Girly Summer

With John gone away for a bit, I have had quite the girly beginning to summer!  I miss him more than ever, but I have tried to embrace the fact that I can watch SATC, and light candles 24/7.

The past few weeks have been filled with:

Fun, outdoor dinners with the girls!!

A refrigerator make-over, stocked with fruits/veggies, sushi, and hummus...

And in the freezer....peach pops from Trader Joes -- amazing!!

A new fitness/healthy eating regimen -- this app is amazing -- thanks Ashie!!

Flowers, just because.

Magazines galore :)

And cute new dish cloths!  They make doing dishes so much more fun :)

Hope your beginning to summer has been lovely!
XOXO

Walkin' in Memphis

I finally got my pics uploaded from our trip to Memphis at then end of May!  John and I headed to our old stomping grounds to visit family and friends, and we had such a great time.
Thanks so much to his wonderful parents for allowing us to come, we love you!

First up, my sweet nephew Sam!  He is getting soooo big :)

The Humphreys hosted a wonderful dinner at their home for us, and invited all our friends from Memphis!  It was so great to see everyone, especially Jen and Court, who are sporting the cutest baby bumps ever!

My girls - I miss yall so much!!

The next day my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, (Liz), and my nephews went to the Botanical Gardens for a delicious lunch outside, and then explored the gorgeous park and Koi pond.

Feeding the Koi

It got a little crazy when ALL of the Koi figured out that we had food

This is in "My Big Backyard" - A huge area for kids that is great for playing and teaching about nature :)
Flower "beds"  --- how cute?!

Back at the house - spending time with the fam :)

Sisters-in-law! :)

AND Brothers-in-law! :)

It was SUCH a great trip, we can't wait to go back!  Especially now that we have a new niece!!
Congrats Liz and Brandon!! :)
