Million Dollar Question

Who is Ashley going to choose??  It's the million dollar question.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt or Zach Braff??

Wait, wait, wait -- this is not celebrity Bachelorette!!  :)
I MEANT, JP or Ben??

I, myself, am rooting for Mr. JP, although I do think Ben is so sweet.  I just think he might need more time...

Are you tuning in to the FINALE tomorrow?  Who are you rooting for?
Or is your favorite even still in the running?

Weekend and randomness

Happy Sunday!!  I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend!!  I have spent mine mostly at work, but with a fun sushi dinner w/ the girls, and lots of "Friday Night Lights" thrown in too :)  Is anyone else a FNL fan?  I JUST started the 1st season, but I'm completely hooked....(the first episode had me reaching for tissues every other commerical break.)

I'm also about to start Mad Men with the hubs, which I've heard great things about!  And the style is swoooooon-worthy :)

Tomorrow, I am planning a early morning run, and then a pool day and cookout with good friends!
I'm going to attempt to make THESE babies for the shin-dig :)

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownies....oh my.

I'll let you know how they are.  I'm thinking they are probably going to be pretty darn amazing.
Speaking of amazing, check out this lovely from Asos.....

LOVE IT.  So versatile and bold, at the same time.
I can just picture it w/ skinny jeans, and knee high camel boots....Yum.
Even though there is a coat in the picture above, I am in no way ready for fall.  I'm a summer girl ALL the way, and my current outfit of choice is cut-off jean shorts, a comfy tshirt, and flip flops, 24/7.

And speaking of loving summer (do you like they way that I am segueing - yes, I had to look up how to spell that, because I really wanted to spell it "segway-ing" - all of my randomness??), the hubs and I are flying to FLORIDA 1 week from tomorrow for a much-needed beach vacay.  And I can hardly wait.  Florida is actually "home" for me, and I miss it so much, especially in the summa-time.

pensacola beach :)

Ok, had enough of this crazy post?  Me too.
Hope your day is perfect :)

Friday Fancies - Sushi Love

Happy Friday Fancies, lovies!!  I'm linking up with the gorgeous {av} over at Long Distance Loving to reveal what my weekend outfit would be, if money grew on the fake tree on my back porch.

Tonight is Sushi and drinks with my favorite gals, and I'm so excited to catch up with them!
Summer is all about bright colors for me, and I am in love with this flowy fushcia blouse, mixed with these bold cobalt pants :)

Paired with some fun jewels, simple flats, and a classic bag, this outfit would be perfect for my girly late night activities!  What do you think??
Hope you all are having a lovely Friday!

Charleston vacay - 1

My mom and I arrived in Charleston on Monday afternoon, and checked into our lovely hotel (King Charles Inn) on Meeting Street.  We spent the evening enjoying cheese and wine by the pool, and then found a yummy spot for dinner.

KCI
The next morning, we set out bright and early for a carriage ride around downtown Charleston, and the waterfront.  We loved our tour guide and really enjoyed seeing Charleston this way.  (Well except for the moment when I turned to gaze at a lovely home, and notice that there was a big, fat, roach- or palmetto bug in the south- ON MY SHOULDER.  I was slightly traumatized.)

We worked up an appetite and went to the delicious, and highly recommended "39 Rue De Jean" for lunch.  It did not dissapoint; we LOVED our meals (quiche and shrimp pasta).

Next up was a tour of the beautiful "Magnolia Plantation", which we really enjoyed.  We wandered around the gorgeous estate and spotted lots of wildlife.  We also took a "Swamp Tram Ride" where we saw tons of alligators and lots of exotic birds.

pretty peacock :)

Handsome, no?
The deer were so friendly!

It was a wonderful and HOT day, and we enjoyed a tasty meal at Jestine's Kitchen that night, sorry no pics!  We were hungry and a little rough looking by that time :)

Next up, Charleston Part 2, stay tuned :)

A special house-guest

I had a wonderful guest to come and visit me last week in NC, and we had the best time!
My sweet Mom flew up to spend a few days exploring my area, and then we had an amazing trip to Charleston the next week!
Here are some pics of our first week together, and after downloading these pictures, it seems like all we did was eat!  And that's not too far from the truth!

She's a published author!
Out for Mexican :)

Chocolate Dipped Nutter Butters

If you love chocolate, and you love peanut butter, and love them even more when they are together, then THIS recipe is for you! It's so incredibly simple, delicious, and sure to be a crowd pleaser. So head to the grocery, or maybe even just your pantry, and whip up a batch of these delectable treats.  You won't regret it.  But you might regret eating 8 of them by yourself once your guests leave, like I may or may not have done.  Oooooops ;)

Chocolate Dipped Nutter Butters

Ingredients:
1 package Nutter Butters
1 package of chocolate bark or chocolate chips
1 package of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (the snack sized are best)

Directions:

Unwrap each of the Reeses Cups, and break them up.

Melt down your chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between.

Dip the Nutter Butters into the chocolate until well coated.

Lay Nutter Butters down on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
Then place the Reeses cup pieces on top, pressing them into the melted chocolate.

Place them in the fridge to harden.
Taste-test to make sure they are edible.  They will be.

ENJOY!!
